  • What is a car buying service?

    A car buying service helps you purchase a car.  We use expert industry knowledge to help you find the right type of car that perfectly suits your life and can stretch your budget to negotiate you a better deal than you thought possible.  Additionally, we can get you a great price on your trade-in, organise your finance and insurance. 

  • How does a car buying service work?

    A client who wishes to change their car contacts a service such as Puredrive. The Puredrive representative briefly discusses the types of services they require, an initial flat fee for engagement of services is paid by the client.  PureDrive assists the client as they wish in purchasing a car.

  • How much does a car buying service cost?

    Each client is treated as an individual at PureDrive, so we only charge you for services you want and need depending on your requirements and circumstances.

  • How do we differ from other car broker services?

    Unlike most brokers who have a standardised approach and fee structure for all clients, at Puredrive we think everyone has their own way in which they would ideally like to buy a car that makes it stress free for them. 


    Most brokers have existing relationships with car dealers, when they are searching for a car they go to their preferred dealers first.  Puredrive only has relationships with its clients, it does not take a commission from dealerships like many other brokers. Puredrive always works to get the best deal for the client only.

  • Do I need to talk to a car dealer?

    No! That’s the nice thing about using PureDrive, we do all the dealing with whoever is selling the car you want, whether it is a car dealer, a private seller or an auction house. 


  • Can you help with buying a used car?

    Absolutely, in fact buying a used car without expert assistance can be fraught and potentially cost you many thousands of dollars in costly repairs if you don’t buy wisely.  


    At PureDrive we make sure that the car you buy will have had everything checked with the car itself and its title.  Ensuring you have a great car that’s reliable and makes you happy. 


  • How do I know when I should change my car?

    This is a highly personal question and depends on many factors which are different for every individual and for every car.  We would be happy to advise you on your best option, don’t be surprised if we suggest holding of! Sure it may cost us your immediate business, however we are about giving you the best service regardless!  So if we think you should keep your existing car for another year we will tell you, that’s the PureDrive difference. 

  • Who am I buying the car from? PureDrive or the seller?

    You will be buying the car direct from the seller.  In the case of a new car it comes with all the same warranty and conditions as if you were physically walking into a dealership to buy the car yourself.


    The difference is you don’t have to talk or negotiate with the dealer yourself, and take great comfort in knowing your purchase is being handled by one our experts who will always negotiate the best deal we can in favour of our client?

  • How much will I save?

    On top of the expert knowledge that you will receive from us you will likely save at a minimum a few hundred dollars.  In the case of one client we saved him $150,000 by sourcing a mint rare edition of the car in question from a private seller in Japan, despite it being a European car.  This is the inside knowledge that PureDrive has. 

  • Can a car buying service help me with financing?

    Yes! We can find you the best deal on finance or on your lease, as we are not affiliated with any financial institutions, we do not try and steer you towards our partners as we don’t have any.  


    Instead, we will search for the best deal which suits you and your situation. We even have a couple of innovative ideas to finance cars with super low interest. Get in touch and see how we can help!

  • How long does it take to use a car buying service? / What if there is a waiting list for my car?

    From the moment you get in touch, we start the process immediately.  


    The quickest we have put the keys in a customer’s hand after they contacted us is 36 hours!  However the car the customer wanted was in stock at a local dealer, in the exact specification and colour, the dealer was ready to make a deal with Puredrive and finance was ready.  


    Depending on the model of car you are after and how rare it is, in many instances, we can hand you the keys to your new car in between 5-10 days.  Of course with certain models which have a long backorder we will endeavour to find you exactly what you want from existing dealership stock within Australia, failing that we can look at various other options to get you into the car you want much sooner than you thought. This can include looking at ‘new old stock’, ‘dealer demos’ and ‘nearly new options’. 


  • Can you help with overseas and interstate buyers and sellers?

    Yes, we can assist buyers from anywhere to buy great cars anywhere in the world.  In the past we have helped American Holden enthusiasts source and import SS Holden Utes to Texas and California. 


    We have exported a dozen HSV’s to the Middle East to an exacting client.  We have helped many ex-pats with their transport requirements and saved them additional headaches by having the car ready for them at the airport when they arrive in the country.  These above and beyond service is what our clients have come to expect. 

  • Can I still test drive the car before I buy it?

    We encourage our clients to test drive a car before they buy it.  We can even bring the car to you to test drive at a time and place of your choosing. 


  • What if I don't like the car that the service finds for me?

    In the unlikely chance that you don’t like the car we have found, you are under no obligation to buy it.  If this does happen, we will work with you to understand how we got it wrong, we will want to know why you don’t love the car.  


    We will then work with you to find an alternative that addresses these and get it right the next time. 

  • What else can you help with?
